Switching the mouse wheel to natural scrolling

Windows settings only allow the option of natural scrolling for the touchpad but not for the mouse.

It can be enabled via the registry, though:

  1. Determine the “device instance path” of the mouse in Decive Manager.
  2. Find the hardware ID in the registry under Computer\\HKEY\_LOCAL\_MACHINE\\SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\Enum\\HID and fold out its DeviceParameters.
  3. Set the Entry FlipFlopWheel to 1.
  4. Restart the computer.
