Keyboard lubricants reduce friction and noise in mechanical-switch and stabiliser components.
Key switch lubrication
For lubing keyboard switches, 5ml are enough. The most commonly used lubricants are Krytox 205 Grade 0 and Tribosys 3204.
Stabiliser lubrication
Stabiliser housings and wires are usually de-noised using silicone grease such as Permatex.
