Backup Synology NAS configuration

Synology DSM configuration can be exported from the shell or through Control Panel.
Shell-based configuration backup
Log in via SSH and run the following command:
/usr/syno/bin/synoconfbkp export --filepath=/volume1/backups/DSMconfig.dss
UI-based configuration backup
In the Control Panel, use the functions under “Update & Restore”, tab “Configuration Backup”.
